The Whalers kick off the start to the preseason with their annual game in the community. This year the game will be against the Windsor Spitfires at the Eddie Edgar Ice Arena in Livonia, MI. Tickets at the door run $12 and go to benefit the Livonia Fallen Heroes Memorial at Larry Nehasil Park.

This will be the first of a home and home against the Spits as the Whalers will travel across the border on Monday to take part in the Labor Day matinee game at the WFCU Centre.

Small note: According to the Whalers Insider account, it seems that Curcuruto is nursing an injury and will not be in the games this weekend.
